This September Jackson Hole event boasts artists from 20 states
Nearly 100 artists representing 20 states from across the U.S. have been accepted to show and sell their handcrafted creations at the 2022 Western Design Conference Exhibit + Sale (WDC) in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, September 8-11 at the Snow King Events Center. Back for its 30th year, the popular WDC Exhibit + Sale featuring both new and returning artists is a four-day, multimillion-dollar event bringing together artisans, collectors, interior designers, architects, and fashion designers with a love of the West. One-of-a-kind creations in furniture, home décor, fashionable apparel, jewelry, and art categories are available for shoppers to purchase directly from artists on a beautifully curated exhibit floor.
In the center of the Exhibit + Sale is the WDC Designer Show House, surrounded by the juried entries on the pedestals and the artists’ beautifully designed booths. This year’s Show House features Harker Design, a nationally and internationally renowned full-service firm located in Jackson, Salt Lake City, and Idaho Falls, with projects worldwide turning clients’ dreams into reality. Juniper Interiors, based in Idaho Falls and Pocatello, is known for intentional and thoughtful design combined with quality artisanship and offers residential and commercial design to clients in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Rendezvous Design, a luxury wellness interior design studio based in Jackson and serving clients nationally creates interiors combining original artistry, organic and sustainable materials, and elements of the timeless cultural heritage of the West. Design and fabrication company Vankind from Wilson, Wyoming, blends modern and rustic elements to create eye-catching storage options. Diehl Gallery located in downtown Jackson showcases fine and contemporary art by local and international artists.
The Western Design Conference Exhibit + Sale opens with the WDC preview arty & fashion show, Thursday evening, September 8th, from 6–10 pm. This is a party like no other! The 28,000 sq. ft. venue is transformed into a magical space hosting a full-blown celebration, open bars with locally crafted specialty cocktails, wines and beers; culinary creations featuring tapas stations; artists’ and designers’ booths to shop; museum quality fashion and furniture displayed on pedestals competing for $20,000 in cash awards. Following an entertaining live art auction, party guests surround the stage to watch the dramatic runway fashion show with its couture collections from 15 fashion designers, surprising and delighting the crowd with models, music, props and choreography tailored to each designer’s showing. This opening party celebration also gives the guests the opportunity to walk through the professionally curated designer show house, talk one-on-one with the talented artists and designers and be the first to shop and take home a statement or legacy piece for their own homes.
