Call For Artisans And Interior Designers To Join 30th Annual Juried September Event In Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Jackson Hole, Wyo. – February 7, 2022 – Each year nearly 100 artists are chosen to participate in the Western Design Conference Exhibit + Sale (WDC), a four-day juried event in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, offering creators an extraordinary opportunity to showcase and sell theirhandcrafted Western-inspired functional artwork, including furniture, home décor, fashion, jewelry, lifestyle accessories and more. WDC artists at the nationally acclaimed event are as remarkable as the region’s culture and scenic surroundings.
The Western Design Conference Exhibit + Sale will celebrate its 30th anniversary from September 8-11, 2022, at the Snow King Events Center in Jackson, which features an expansive 28,000 square feet of space for artists and shoppers to come together. WDC artists will vie for design excellence awards with cash prizes totaling $20,500, while mixing and mingling with new and returning guests, all ready to shop for one-of-a-kind pieces.
As always, the WDC takes NO commissions on artist sales, and artists enjoy showcasing their craft in large custom booth spaces in the Event Center at the base of scenic Snow King Mountain all during the annual Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival, which brings thousands of art enthusiasts and buyers to the picturesque mountain town every September.
Popular returning events at the 2022 Western Design Exhibit + Sale include the lively Opening Preview Party on Thursday, September 8, complete with open-bar cocktails, catered bites, a live auction and a fierce runway fashion show, festively kicking off the four-day event. Then September 9-11 guests continue to fill the showroom daily, browsing and buying direct from the artists, while enjoying the daily happy hours.
“The WDC, their staff and patrons are always a highlight of my year, and I wouldn’t miss it,” says returning fashion designer Elyse Allen of Elyse Allen Textiles, her showstopping Swarovski crystal cashmere wraps, hats and ponchos will be featured on the runway.
Returning to the WDC is the Designer Show House, a true-to-scale multi-room house for guests to explore constructed inside the Event Center, featuring five professionally designed rooms showcasing the work of interior designers demonstrating how the Exhibit + Sale’s museum-quality functional art can be brilliantly brought into an interior setting.
