Famous Nashville Costume Designer Comes to 2011 Western Design Conference
Jackson Hole to sparkle with Manuel’s “state series” jackets
Fashion designer Manuel, also known as the “Rhinestone Rembrandt,” will display his series of jackets sewn in tribute to the 50 states. The “state series” will be on view during the Western Design Conference fashion show on Thursday, September 8, 2011, and then will move to the Western Design Conference Exhibit + Sale at the Pavilion at Snow King Resort, Friday – Sunday, September 9 – 11, 2011.
Manuel has designed for big-name country stars, including Johnny Cash, Elvis, and Patsy Cline, and the costume designer’s creations can be found in museums across the country including the Smithsonian, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
