The four-day event showcases the best of the West in furniture, fashion, and home interiors
Jackson Hole, Wyoming – February 19, 2019 – The Western Design Conference (WDC) has been bringing together an eclectic collection of artists and designers in the fashion, furniture and home décor industries since 1992. Despite wildly different styles and backgrounds, the juried artists from across the country all share one thing – a love of the West that weaves its way into their handcrafted one-of-a-kind works. Celebrating its 27th year, the Western Design Exhibit + Sale showcases the best of functional American contemporary craft from more than 100 artists during its four-day celebration, September 5-8, 2019, in the classic Western town of Jackson, Wyoming, drawing art enthusiasts and collectors from around the world.
The Western Design Exhibit + Sale magnificently captures the spirit of the West, honoring artisans and their handmade pieces that range from cowboy to contemporary styles and offering an event where guests can explore, shop, eat, drink and mingle among the creative bounty. Held at Jackson Hole’s Snow King Event Center, the four-day Exhibit + Sale is a signature event of the two-week-long Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival.
The Western Design Exhibit + Sale kicks off with the always popular Opening Preview Party on Thursday, September 5, a lively gala to see and be seen. Visitors and locals gather each year for the highly anticipated evening that features a live runway fashion show with a variety of exciting Western-inspired couture. Returning to the runway this year will be a collection from the adorable kids from the Art Association of Jackson Hole. Project Design Camp students will strut their designs at the fashion show along with new and returning designers. Party guests sip on specialty cocktails and spirits from the handful of open bars and snack on catered bites from local favorite Genevieve Catering as they peruse the Exhibit + Sale getting a first look at the artisans’ offerings.
Other returning favorites include the Designer Show House, an impressive true-to-scale house constructed on the Exhibit + Sale showroom floor and featuring individual, professionally designed rooms by talented design firms.
“Artitude Adjustment” happy hours are offered at 2pm each day with complimentary cocktails for guests to sip while shopping, as well as special daily Christmas in December giveaways.
Tickets are $15 for an Exhibit + Sale day pass; VIP entry and reserved seating at the Opening Preview Party + Fashion Show is available for $125 per person; $50 general admission. All tickets include open bars or daily happy hours.
