A four-day destination for collectors and design lovers to discover, shop, and experience the best in Western fashion and craftsmanship
Bozeman, Montana — The Western Design Conference (WDC) has announced a record 128 juried exhibitors representing 28 states for the 34th annual Western Design Conference Exhibit + Sale, taking place August 6–9, 2026 at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the Montana State University campus in legendary Bozeman, Montana.
For more than three decades, the Western Design Conference has been the premier gathering place for collectors, designers, makers, and patrons who share a passion for the evolving aesthetics of the American West. The Exhibit + Sale brings together museum-quality craftsmanship across furniture, fashion, jewelry, leather, metalwork, fine art, and interior design—inviting guests to meet the makers and shop directly from the nation’s most accomplished Western artists and designers.
This year’s juried class represents the largest acceptance in WDC history, reflecting the continued evolution of Western design from heritage craft traditions to bold contemporary interpretations of the West.
One of the most anticipated signature experiences of the 2026 event is the Designer Showhouse, an immersive installation that transforms the Exhibit + Sale floor into a curated interior environment. The 2026 Showhouse will feature six designed rooms, two porches, a dramatic 40-foot hallway, and an intersecting breezeway, each envisioned by leading designers and artists collaborating across disciplines.
Featured designers include Michele McCarthy Interiors in collaboration with ICON Bunks, Kibler & Kirch with Old Hickory Furniture, Shima Shanti, Danielle Mourning of Rosebud Homestead with Erin Martin and Paige Williams Interior Design with Littlebranch Farm. Together these creators and interior design teams will transform the Showhouse into a series of layered Western interiors—spaces that celebrate craftsmanship, storytelling, and the creative frontier that defines Western design.
Among this year’s exceptional lineup are several returning WDC favorites alongside notable new talent. Jeremiah Young, of Kibler & Kirch in Billings, Montana, returns with his celebrated approach to Western interiors, pairing historic influence with contemporary craftsmanship creating sophisticated Western interiors that blend heritage materials, architectural storytelling, and modern refinement rooted in place.
Renowned silversmith Chrissy Glenn, known as Chrissy Glenn Sculptress, returns from Cody, Wyoming. Her sculptural works in sterling push the boundaries with refined striking sculptural forms that reinterpret Western iconography with power, movement, and contemporary art to wear.
Jonathan Ward, founder of ICON 4×4, returns to the WDC with his unique intersection of automotive design and luxury. He transforms classic vehicles into meticulously engineered works of art where heritage design meets modern performance and craftsmanship.
Joining the show for the first time is fashion designer Michelle Assiter, founder of Nomadic Reign Couture and Saint Helena Jewelry, whose work blends bold couture fashion with vintage inspired materials and striking contemporary silhouettes inspired by global travel and modern Western glamour.
The Western Design Conference continues to grow thanks to a distinguished network of national and regional partners. The 2026 event is presented by Cowboys & Indians Magazine, alongside key sponsors including WRJ Design, CLB Architects, JLF Architects, Pearson Design Group, Montana Reclaimed Lumber, Planning Alternatives, ICON Bunks, and additional design and community partners who support the continued celebration of Western craftsmanship and culture.
The Western Design Conference begins with its must-attend Preview Party on Thursday, August 6, an evening celebration featuring early access to the Exhibit + Sale, a lively fashion show with couture collections on the runway featuring up-and-coming and established designers, a live auction, access to the Designer Showhouse and an array of culinary experiences, cocktails, and live entertainment.
The celebration continues August 7–9 with the 3-day Western Design Conference Exhibit + Sale, where more than 100 artists and designers present handcrafted furniture, fashion, jewelry, and home design in one of the most dynamic design marketplaces in the country.
Guests can also attend the WDC Lecture Series, featuring expert speakers and design professionals exploring the future of Western design and craftsmanship.
