Coolest Collection of Western-inspired Functional Art Comes to Jackson Hole

Western Design Exhibit + Sale brings cowboy-to-contemporary artisans September 5-8

Jackson, Wyoming – August 21, 2019 – The 27th annual Western Design Exhibit + Sale returns to Jackson Hole September 5-8, 2019, showcasing an incredible collection from top artisans and designers across the country. Attendees can browse and buy directly from 105 juried artists and exhibitors. Home and lifestyle accessories, furniture, fashion and jewelry, all at a variety of price points, will be on display at the Snow King Events Center during this four-day celebration of American craft. The Western Design Exhibit + Sale is a signature event of the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival.

An incredible variety of new and returning artists showcase their finest pieces inspired by the West, sharing handcrafted techniques and stories with the public. Woodworking artists returning this year include Steve Henneford, Henneford Fine Furniture of Lakeside, Montana, known for his exceptionally comfortable handmade leather and wood chairs. Robert Seliger of Robert Seliger Furniture, known for his beautifully refined and intricately constructed furniture, returns from Bend, Oregon, with a new collection.  Old Hickory Furniture and Forsyth Art have collaborated to create a one-of-a-kind version of Old Hickory’s Butte Chair, hand-upholstered with luxurious natural sheepskin.

In-home decorative arts, Colorado Springs-based Keoni Fine Art beautifully reimagines wood as complexly woven and beaded basketry. Wyoming photographer Shelly Wayne from Amazed Photography features a collection of her striking landscape and wildlife images. Prior WDC Best of Show award-winner Jenny Booth of J Booth Art shares her remarkably detailed designs carved on skulls, horns, and antlers. Gemstone Tile presents extraordinary handcrafted turquoise tile work, incorporated into countertops, backsplashes, furniture and more.

A vast array of exquisite jewelry is for sale by a variety of talented creators. There are pearls wrapped in suede and knotted into lavish strands from Tess Jewelry by Karen Daniels from St. Louis, Missouri. From Houston, Texas, jewelry artist Mirta Tummino brings her handcrafted pieces using 18k gold, sterling silver, and precious and semi-precious gemstones, reflecting her delicate design aesthetic. Shompole Collection of Brooklyn, New York, graces the Western Design Exhibit + Sale with pieces from its stunning Elephant Collection, benefiting wildlife conservation.
