From design showcases and auctions to annual exhibits and festivals, here are some inspiring art events to catch in the coming months throughout the region.

Sun Valley Center Arts & Crafts Festival
August 10 – 12 | Atkinson Park, Ketchum, ID
The 50th anniversary of this event features an outdoor, juried fine arts and crafts show, food, music, and activities.

A Timeless Legacy: Peace Park 2018
Sale: August 11; Exhibit: August 14 – December 1 | Hockaday Museum of Art, Kalispell, MT
This exhibit honors Glacier National Park through the work of a variety of artists, along with a fixed-price sale with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the museum.

Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show
Through August 19 | Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum Cheyenne, WY
This invitational show presents the original work of many of the nation’s top Western artists, celebrating the heritage of the American West.

Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival
September 5 – 16 | Jackson Hole, WY
The 34th annual Fall Arts Festival hosts world-class food, wine, music, and art events with nationally and internationally renowned artists.

Western Visions
Exhibit: September 5 – 16. Sale: September 14 | National Museum of Wildlife Art | Jackson Hole, WY
This fundraiser for the museum features a series of events, including the annual show and sale of works by leading wildlife artists.

Western Design Conference Exhibit + Sale
September 6 – 9  | Snow King Center, Jackson Hole, WY
Craftspeople, collectors, interior designers, architects, and fashion designers come together each year to display and sell
their wares at this juried event.

Art in the Park
September 7 – 9 | Boise Art Museum, Julia Davis Park | Boise, ID
This open-air festival highlights the work of contemporary artists on display and for purchase, along with food, entertainment, and activities.

Indian Country: The Art of David Bradley
September 8 – January 2019 | C.M Russell Museum, Great Falls, MT
This traveling exhibit focuses on the powerful work of Minnesota Chippewa artist David Bradley, who creates “evocative visual descriptions of the Indian experience.”

Jackson Hole Art Auction
September 14 – 15 | The Center for the Arts, Jackson Hole, WY
Hosted by Trailside Galleries and Gerald Peters Gallery, this signature event of the Fall Arts Festival features works by Frank Tenney Johnson and Thomas Moran, among others.

Forever Wild: Sculpture by Tim Shinabarger
September 14 – 23 | Legacy Galleries, Jackson Hole, WY
This one-man show, with an artist’s reception on September 14, features nine new works by the award-winning wildlife sculptor, along with a select few sold-out editions available by drawing.

Rendezvous Royale
September 17 – 22 | Buffalo Bill Center of the West, Cody, WY
This celebration of art in the contemporary West hosts a nationally recognized art show, live auction, and quick draw.

Montana Triennial
Through October 15 | Yellowstone Art Museum, Billings, MT
First organized and presented as a juried exhibition by the Missoula Art Museum in 2009, this exhibition showcases the talent of 40 Montana artists.
