Chase Halland was born in 1983 in the coastal town of Kingston, Washington, but spent most of his early years in the Big Sky country of Montana. Relocating to Seattle in 2003, his exposer to the culture heavily influenced his love of the arts and design. The saturated art scene of Seattle fueled his passion to create and expand his art into new avenues. Chase now resides in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho with his wife of 15 years and their 2 children and 1 dog. His passion and dream to pursue his artistry full-time became a reality in 2014 with the opening of his business, Faraway Lovely. His custom art mounts combine bold Pendleton fabrics with traditional taxidermy resulting in a modern take on a classic pastime. Chase’s work is a unique favorite for homeowners, cabin dwellers, and interior designers alike. He is often dreaming of the next challenge and has enjoyed the creativity of his client’s requests, most notably with the Moose mounts, Caribou, and Bison.
